Talking Marras provides a peer led, safe and supportive environment for adults with mental health issues in Ashington. The group provide a weekly drop-in session, every Friday, at the Hirst Welfare Centre in Ashington, from 10.00am till 2.00pm.

At the Ashington Town Council annual meeting last night, Tuesday 28th May 2024, Cllr Caroline Ball was elected as the new Civic Head, with Cllr Sophie Robinson elected Deputy Civic Head.

Ashington Town Council has published an Annual Report for 2023/24, detailing progress made across its core priorities of keeping the town clean, taking climate action, supporting the community, and improving the environment.
This annual report is a low-resolution in-house publication aimed at providing information to residents in a cost-effective manner, rather than a glossy promotional brochure. In line with public sector equality duty, the Council aims for accessible information. Residents requiring the report in alternate formats should contact the office.
