Woodhorn Museum - From 28th October to 5th November 2023

Pumpkin Trail

Pick up your trail sheet and then explore the museum and colliery buildings to try and find all the hidden pumpkins.
Count how many you can find and make your way to the Welcome desk with your completed trail sheet. If you’ve spotted them all then you’ll be rewarded with a small sweet treat!
The Pumpkin Trail is included as part of your Annual Pass admission. If you don’t already have one, you can buy your Annual Pass online ahead of your visit or when you arrive at the museum. The Annual Pass prices are only £7 for adults, £6 for concessions and children (16 or under) come in FREE!

Spooky Spiders

Make and decorate your own wooden spider decoration in these free and family friendly craft sessions. A helpful member of staff will be on hand to help with this activity.
During your visit, you can also pick up a trail sheet and explore the spooky corners of Woodhorn Museum on our popular Pumpkin Trail!
This is a free activity as part of your Museums Northumberland annual pass where kids go free.
This activity is supported by Northumberland County Council and Arts Council England.

Birds of Prey

The popular and interactive flying displays take place at 12 noon and 2pm (weather dependent).
Ridgeside Falconry will also be on hand to answer your questions about the birds of prey alongside their static display from 11am – 3pm.
If you are visiting for the Birds of Prey Display you can also enjoy our annual Pumpkin Trail (all day) and make and decorate your own Spooky Spider Decoration (12noon-3pm).
