Ashington Town Council fund Christmas cheer with grant to Wansbeck Christmas Campaign

Ashington Town Council has awarded a £500 grant to the Wansbeck Christmas Campaign in support of their efforts to provide gifts for struggling families across the Wansbeck area this festive season.

The grant was used to shop for gifts from the campaign’s Christmas list at the B&M store on Freeman Way. Store employees Michael and Kelly provided first class assistance in the shopping effort and were full of Christmas cheer. The purchased gifts were delivered directly to volunteer Vicky, ready for sorting and distributing mid-December.
