Open Doors we're here to support you on a positive employment journey
If you live in Newcastle, North Tyneside or Northumberland and would like some support into employment, we are here to help.
We will give you dedicated support to help with:
- Increasing your confidence to apply for jobs
- Preparing for interview and application support
- Receiving mental health, NHS and specialist services
- Developing your communication skills and life skills
- Gaining qualifications that employer’s value
- Improving ICT skills

About Our Project
Our "Open Doors" initiative is designed to support and empower individuals in Newcastle, North Tyneside, and Northumberland who are facing barriers to employment. We're here to help you take your first steps towards a brighter future, whether you're actively seeking employment or not quite there yet.
Who We Support
Our project is open to residents aged 16-64 who are currently not working. This includes:
- Those on a career break
- Parents returning to work
- Individuals facing personal or professional challenges
- Anyone looking to build confidence and skills for future employment
What We Offer
Our program is designed to meet you where you are on your journey. We provide:
- One-on-one support tailored to your needs
- Group sessions to build community and shared learning
- Confidence-building workshops
- Skill development opportunities
- Guidance on the path to employment
- Support with job applications and interview preparation
- Access to mental health and specialist services
- Opportunities to gain valuable qualifications
