Ashington Lights Up with Community-Created Animation
We're delighted to report that the animation workshops at the recent Ashington Tuesday Market were a roaring success! The Mortal Fools team worked their magic, guiding both children and adults through the process of creating a collaborative animation piece.
"It was wonderful to see the positive impact of bringing these creative opportunities to our community," said Cllr Caroline Ball, newly appointed Chair of the recently formed Youth Advisory Committee. "The animation pop-up was a real hit, and we can't wait to share the final product with everyone."
Events like this are exactly the kind of engaging, accessible activities the Youth Advisory Committee hopes to bring more of to Ashington. By sparking creativity and bringing people together, these workshops align perfectly with the council's vision for a vibrant, thriving town.

"We're grateful to have community members who are passionate about making Ashington an amazing place to live and visit. A reminder to mark your calendars for the inaugural Youth Forum is set for Wednesday 16th October, at Ashington Football Club on Woodhorn Lane. We're calling all young people to join us for round of idea-sharing, forward-planning, and yes, free food! Remember, those 13 and over can attend independently, while under-13s need parental consent. Don't worry, we will have forms at the ready, and you can bring your adult along if you prefer.
