Ashington Camera Club Receives Funding Boost from Town Council

Ashington Camera Club has been awarded a grant from Ashington Town Council's small grant fund. The Civic Head, Councillor Caroline Ball, presented the cheque to club representatives in a recent club session.

The funds will support various activities crucial to the club's operations and member development. Specifically, the grant will contribute towards, securing judges for print and digital photography competitions.  Inviting guest speakers to present on a range of photography subjects during club nights and organizing club trips via minibus, allowing members to explore diverse photography locations

Councillor Ball expressed her delight in presenting the cheque, highlighting the Town Council's commitment to supporting local community groups and initiatives.

This financial boost is expected to enhance the club's ability to provide valuable experiences and learning opportunities for photography enthusiasts in Ashington.

Roy Smith from Ashington Camera Club said, "All members of the club would like to thank Ashington Town Council for their kind donation and for the continued support of the Club. This grant will significantly enhance our activities, allowing us to bring in expert judges, host informative guest speakers. The Council's generosity directly contributes to the growth and development of our local photography community."
