Couple Celebrate Their Platinum Wedding Anniversary
Mr Robert & Mrs Margaret Auld celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary (Platinum) on Tuesday 22nd March.
Ashington's Civic Head attended the family celebration at The White House on Sunday 27th March between 2.00 and 5.00pm.
A 70th wedding anniversary is a rare event indeed, and throughout the years the couple have always lived in Ashington. To mark this special occasion Robert and Margaret also received a card from the Queen.
The Civic Head, Cllr Pauline Thompson also made a special card for the couple in a craft class she attends with Margaret.
