Wet and Windy Racing Conditions for Fell em Doon Race
It was a very wet and windy night for the Fell em Doon five mile race last Friday night (14th July).
The weather did not put off the 136 runners from across the region who battled the elements at Ashington Community Woods.
Well done to everyone who completed the race and a big thank you to all of the volunteers who supported the event.
Ashington Town Council was delighted to support this event, thank you to Ashington Hirst Running Club for inviting us to be involved, Cllrs. Vicky Brown, Louis Brown, Caroline Ball and Michelle Brannigan all had a great night despite the weather and are looking forward to the next race later in the year.
