Pre-Planning Consultation - Housing Development on Wansbeck Road

Pre-Planning Consultation - Housing Development on Wansbeck Road

Banks Group want to share initial plans for a development of up to 190 new family homes on a site on the south western edge of Ashington, as well as giving residents the opportunity to provide feedback and ask any questions. The site is Wansbeck Road and a pre-planning consultation has commenced.

Banks Group has created a dedicated Wansbeck Road webpage containing the key plans and information, from which you can access all of the information available at this stage. These are early plans, so the finer details may not be available just yet.

They have also created a project-specific email address through which residents can contact the project team at any time with any queries or comments. They can be contacted via wansbeckroad@banksgroup.co.uk

The plans as presented are not a Planning Application yet, therefore, neither Ashington Town Council, nor Ashington Town Councillors will make comments. However, we will ask questions and seek information in advance of the planning process, in order to take a fully informed decision, should a planning application be forthcoming.

An information leaflet is being delivered by Banks Group on Monday, to homes that border the development.

Their first surgery event will take place Monday 19th September, 12:00-3:00pm & 4:00-7:00pm at Ashington Cricket Club (Langwell Cresent, Ashington, NE63 8AB) followed by Wednesday 21st September, 1:00-4:00pm at Northumberland Age UK (The Round House Cafe, Lintonville Parkway, Ashington, NE63 9JZ).

These surgeries provide the opportunity to learn more about the project and to share your views, but if you are unable to attend one of these events and would like to find out more, please use the feedback form on their website, and linked below.
