Notice is hereby given that the agenda for the Finance and General Services meeting of the Town Council originally issued on 4th April, has been amended. The amended agenda is provided and was issued on 10th April which remains three clear days prior to the scheduled meeting date of 16th April, in accordance with legal requirements.
The updated agenda includes the additional item College Ward – Casual Vacancy and is included along with associated papers on the council’s website.

Northumberland County Council will be submitting an application for prior approval to demolish the buildings at Wansbeck Square in Ashington. This is the first step in redeveloping the site, with further plans still being finalised and coordination with Network Rail and Northern Powergrid ongoing.
As part of the prior approval application process, NCC has provided the required Site Notice indicating a proposed demolition start date of 1st July 2024. These notices will be posted around Wansbeck Square in the next couple of days. However, the actual demolition date may change depending on the approval timeline, particularly any requirements from Network Rail and Northern Powergrid.
