Families are invited to join in the fun this Easter with the return of The Bunny Hop Easter Trail brought to you by Ashington Town Council. Beginning Saturday 12th April kids can search for a special Easter egg posters at participating shops around the town.
Here’s how it works:
Pick up a sticker card at any shop taking part. Then start hunting for the Easter egg posters displayed in shops. Collect a sticker for each poster you spot on your card. Cards with all stickers collected are winners!
Completed cards can be redeemed for a prize at the Hirst Welfare Centre on Friday 25th April 2025 between 10am and 3pm. The Easter adventure is the perfect way to get outdoors and explore Ashington this spring break.
Ashington Town Council invites all community members to participate in the annual Great British Spring Clean running from the 21st of March to the 6th April. Organised by Keep Britain Tidy, this national campaign rallies volunteers across the country to beautify their neighbourhoods by tackling litter and plastic waste pollution.
For the 2025 effort, Ashington Town Council has planned multiple litter clean-ups around the area in partnership with Northumberland County Council. All town residents are encouraged to take part!
Volunteering for a litter pick event is a fun, easy way to enhance your community and improve the local environment. Families, friends, schools, community groups, and businesses can all make an impact while enjoying the spring weather (hopefully!).
Review the list of upcoming litter picks being organised across Ashington and choose a date and location that fits your schedule. Let’s work together as neighbours and make our beautiful town shine even brighter this spring! Contact Sharon at 01670 624520 to sign up and get more details, alternatively email; admin@ashingtontowncouncil.gov.uk. Every little bit helps in the Ashington Great British Spring Clean 2025!
