Ashington Town Council and Pride Action North have joined forces to bring a vibrant and inclusive Ashington Pride Picnic to our local communities this summer. Building on the success of last year’s event, this collaboration aims to create an even more memorable experience for LGBTQIA+ people and their families.

Mark your calendars for a day of family-friendly fun at the annual Ashington Community Fair Day on Sunday, July 7th, 2024! Brought to you by the Ashington Town Council, this local tradition will take place from 11 AM to 4 PM in Peoples Park. Fair-goers can look forward to live music performances, tasty food trucks, local vendor booths, carnival rides and games, craft activities for kids, and much more summer entertainment. Bunny Hop Easter Egg Trail Saturday 16th March to Saturday 13th April 2024
Back for another year of fun, Ashington Town Council will host an Easter Egg Hunt involving local businesses on Station Road, Woodhorn Road, Lintonville Terrace, and Laburnum Terrace. Also new for this year, the businesses on Milburn Road will join the hunt.
How it Works From March 16th through April 13th, children can pick up an Easter egg hunt map from participating locations. The map will lead them around town in search of shops displaying colourful easter posters. Spot the poster and collect a sticker to complete a sticker card.
