Ashington Town Council invites all community members to participate in the annual Great British Spring Clean running from the 15th of March to the 31st March. Organised by Keep Britain Tidy, this national campaign rallies volunteers across the country to beautify their neighbourhoods by tackling litter and plastic waste pollution.
For the 2024 effort, Ashington Town Council has planned multiple litter clean-ups around the area in partnership with Northumberland County Council. All town residents are encouraged to take part!
Volunteering for a litter pick event is a fun, easy way to enhance your community and improve the local environment. Families, friends, schools, community groups, and businesses can all make an impact while enjoying the spring weather (hopefully!).
Review the list of upcoming litter picks being organised across Ashington and choose a date and location that fits your schedule. Let’s work together as neighbours and make our beautiful town shine even brighter this spring! Contact Sharon at 01670 624520 to sign up and get more details, alternatively email; admin@ashingtontowncouncil.gov.uk. Every little bit helps in the Ashington Great British Spring Clean 2024!
