It’s Back, after a three-year break because of covid, Ashington Community Fair Day will take place on Sunday 2nd July 2023, 11am to 5pm at Peoples Park.

This is the first year Ashington Town Council have held a fair at Peoples Park and we would love to see you all there!

Richardsons Amusements are celebrating 50 years of fairs in Ashington this year and they are coming to Peoples Park with all the fun of the fair.  Look out for Marshals on the day who will have £1 off vouchers for all rides.

As well as fairground rides and food vans we have a great line up of local bands provided by Guerrilla PA & Events. Tony Eastlake who runs Guerilla PA and Events is over the moon to be involved on the day, having lived near to the venue since he was a teenager.

We have a mix of traders and community groups with market stalls, so why not come along for a sweet treat or have a go on a tombola.

On the day you can see traders from our high street, including; The Little Tea Room, Tony Joshua Couture, Sweet Memories, The Sewing Machine Guy and M and H Bakes, as well as a regular at the Tuesday market Tilly Bomb. You can also pick up a personalised gift from Made With Love From Lou.

Some of the community groups attending on the day are; Ashington Camera Club, Ashington Veteran’s & Elders Institute, Reiverdale Scouts, Blossoming Communities, Koast Radio, as well as Asda with some sun safety advice.

Have a cup of tea in the Ashington WI Tea Tent, Face Painting with Carla and Sarah, Crafty Activities with Ashington Family Hub, and a chance to see Northumberland Fire & Rescue Service and Northumbria Police, all with vehicles to explore!
