Ashington Town Council can offer small grants and funding to local organisations working in the town where, in the Council's opinion, the grant would benefit any part of the town or any of the inhabitants.
Any organisation can apply to the Small Grants Scheme provided that:
- it is voluntary and/or not profit making
- it can demonstrate the need for financial assistance
- it operates or gives benefits to those who reside in the town and
- it operates with no undue restriction to membership.
Organisations should be able to demonstrate their independence and should have their own management committee and constitution. New organisations can apply providing they aim to meet the criteria above. For more information and to apply download the Small Grant Application Form below.
A recent grant from the Town Council has supported the Friends of Ashington Community Woods group as they work to improve the woodland to the North of Ashington (pictured).
In addition to the Small Grant Scheme, Ashington Town Council also provides funding to voluntary & community sector infrastructure organisations operating in the town as well as the town's main sports clubs.
