Meet a host of science fiction characters ranging from Daleks to Doctors, Jedis to Jawas and many more at Woodhorn Museum on Sunday 21 July!

Do you or your family members love dressing up? If so make sure you don your finest Sci Fi, Comic & Super Hero outfits for this brilliant and fun family day out at the Museum!

Don’t miss the sci-fair & themed crafts in the historic workshop galleries and keep your eyes peeled for costumed character pop-up activities running across the museum site throughout the day.

As part of the event there will be food and drink stalls on site (alongside the museum cafe) to help keep your superhero powers up on this busy day out.

This event is hosted by Woodhorn Museum and organised by a team of dedicated volunteers raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support (261017) and Woodhorn Charitable Trust (1129712).

This event features volunteer and visitor cosplayers dressed as a range of science fiction and comic book themed characters. Many of these famous characters, ranging from Daleks to Deadpool, do portray varying degrees of threat and violence. Please bear this in mind when deciding whether or not this event is suitable for your family members.

The characters will be on site from 10am till 4pm with all other activities taking place from 10am till 5pm.

Admission is free but a parking charge of £5 will be in place. There will also be a car park at the former ALCAN/Rio Tinto site with a Park & Ride service. Please follow signs and allow up to 20 minutes for transfer. Blue Badge/Accessible Parking will be available at the Museum site at a cost of £5 per car.
