Ashington Town Council is proud to support the local voluntary and community sector through its Annual Grant Aid and Small Grants schemes. Each year, the Council sets aside funding to help organisations that deliver services, activities, and projects for the benefit of Ashington residents.
Our funding supports a wide range of groups — including sports clubs, youth organisations, community associations, arts and heritage projects, and charitable or volunteer-led initiatives. Whether you're a long-established organisation or a small grassroots group, we want to help you thrive.
The Council’s grant funding is designed to:
Strengthen and support community activity in Ashington
Enable projects that promote inclusion, wellbeing, skills, and community spirit
Help local organisations develop, grow, and respond to local needs
Ensure public funds are used transparently, responsibly, and fairly
We aim to be both supportive and accountable — providing clear guidance, encouraging good governance, and being open about how funding decisions are made.
