I have lived in Ashington for most of my life and have been a Councillor for the Central Ward during the past four years. I am passionate about community life and during the week I am employed as a part-time Community Employability Tutor for Northern Learning Trust. I am a member of the Labour Party and a Delegate for the South East Northumberland Trade Union Council.

During the past four years I have had the pleasure of seeing Ashington town centre develop with a new leisure centre and the transformation of Station Road, plus the ongoing restoration of the Hirst Park, and not forgetting the development of the Ashington Memorial Garden.  This is just a few of the many projects around the town.

I am delighted to have been elected as Councillor for Seaton Ward and look forward to meeting the community at our local surgery meetings. I will be working alongside my fellow councillors to ensure Seaton Ward concerns and issues are addressed as soon as possible. I am sure the people of Seaton Ward and Ashington would like to live in a clean, tidy and safe neighbourhood.  I know we can do this together.

My hobbies include music and jewellery making.
