Ashington Town Council is organising activities as part of the Great British Spring Clean 2018 Campaign, organised by Keep Britain Tidy.

As part of the Campaign litter picks will take place in Ashington over the weekend of the 2 to the 4 March and we are hoping residents will come along and support the activities.

The litter picks will take place as follows:

Ashington Community Woodland

Friday 2 March – 10.00am till 11.30am. Meeting at the entrance to the Woodland - past the Police Station and over the railway line.

Ashington Peoples Park

Friday 2 March – 3.00pm till 4.30pm. Meeting at the main car park.

Paddock Wood in North Seaton

Saturday 3 March – 10.00am till 11.30am. Meeting at North Seaton Community Centre on Manley View.

Hirst Area

Sunday 4 March 11.00am till 12.30pm. Meeting at Heart of the Hirst Tenant & Resident Group at 82 Beatrice Street on Second Avenue.

Equipment will be provided.

The Town Council is pleased to report that a number of community groups and schools are supporting the activities and we would welcome any further support from individual residents or local groups.
