An art and photography exhibition will take place in Ashington from the 26 till the 28 September.

The exhibition will showcase Ashington talent and feature work by the Ashington Art Group, Ashington Camera Club and The Pitmatics.

The exhibition will take place from the Thursday till the Saturday, in Ashington town centre, from 10.00am till 4.00pm. Refreshments will be provided at the exhibition and attendees will also have the opportunity to find out more about the work of each respective organisation.

The exhibition will focus on Ashington as well containing other interesting images, showcasing the wide breadth of artistic talent in the town. Ashington has a fantastic heritage of arts, photography and music which includes the now world renowned Pitmen Painters at Woodhorn Museum in the town.

Mr Roy Smith, recently appointed Chair of the Camera Club, said ‘We are looking forward to working with the other organisations in providing the exhibition and we do hope people will come along and see the talent we have in Ashington’.  Mr Iain Bolton from the Pitmatics adds 'We look forward to our second exhibition of work in our home town, bringing our own style of art and photography'.

The exhibition has been organised by Ashington Town Council and more information will be available in the run up to the event.  You can find more about each respective organisation on Facebook.

Please note the location of the exhibition will be fully confirmed nearer the date.
