The Alligator Klub celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the moon landings with a special event on Friday (26 July).
The world stopped as astronaut Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon, on 20 July 1969, and the Klub remembered and re-enacted the historic event on the evening.
The Alligator Klub is a night club for people over 18 years, with learning disabilities and their carers, in Ashington and the Civic Head of Ashington, Cllr. Lawrence Henderson, went along to support the event.
Cllr. Henderson said ‘Its great to see the Alligator Klub providing these activities right here in Ashington and seeing the numbers of people, both residents and visitors to the town, taking part’.
