Ashington man Mr William Mason celebrated his 100th birthday today.

On behalf of Ashington Town Council and residents of the town Ashington's Deputy Mayor, Cllr. Victor Bridges, called to see William to wish him a very happy birthday. 

William was born during the First World War and has seen many changes in his lifetime. Cllr. Bridges presented William with a card, bottle of champagne and chocolates to mark this memorable occasion.

We are sure all Ashington residents will wish William a very happy birthday!
